I only mention this because we were given the option of rescheduling as a refund is only offered if the cruise is cancelled due to high seas (which is at 5'). We did learn that the seas were going to be 3-4' during our trip but we, the four of us, figured that with our demanding schedules, the chance we were all off on a Saturday again would be slim. No knowing we were going to be gambling, we didn't have much cash but we were each given $50 in spending money as part of our gift-which was very nice we thought. But once on the bottom decks, it was a little different. not really with the great weather and entertainment. We all stayed on the top deck until just before the announcement was given that the games were open, which wasn't too bad. only to take them about 30 minutes later when we were already out in the channel.
My husband and son thought they were tough men and did not need them. My daughter-in-law had the insight to stop and purchase motion sickness meds on the way to the boat and she & I took them as soon as we boarded.
As a birthday surprise for my and Father's Day gift to my husband, my son and daughter-in-law took us out on Jacks or Better.
